Jewelry Rendering with Gouache Paint
One thing that I wanted to try to learn this year was to be able to create a different visual technique for putting ideas down on paper, so I signed up for two jewelry rendering courses taught by Drawing Gems out of Amsterdam. Over an eleven week time period the course covered how to paint/render cabochons, diamonds, facetted cut stone, opals, pearls, ribbons, knots and pave' settings... All of our homework was completed with the use of gouache paint and the above picture was my final homework assignment. I definitely learned a lot during these classes and was impresses at how well the class was taught over Zoom with students from all over the globe. It is amazing how the world of learning is literally at our fingertips. Stay creative my friends :)
